I am Gustavo Hammerschmidt, and this is where I publish practical notes on backend engineering, systems, cryptography and the things I build on the internet.

The application is entirely my own: Rust and Actix on the server, MongoDB for content, Tera for templates, and a publishing workflow that runs through admin routes and a handful of shell scripts. There is no CMS underneath it and no framework in front of it.

I use it as a writing platform and as an engineering lab at the same time — improving observability, security, indexing and page speed while writing down what that taught me. If you are interested in systems thinking and implementation detail, you are in the right place.
